Associate Financial Analyst
Job Summary
This position is a multi-faceted finance support position within the Millstone Financial Management Group. The position will focus on two areas: 1) Consolidate and develop forecast/budgets for the Millstone Station; 2) Provide process improvement leadership through enhanced reporting and data analysis. Specific responsibilities include:
- Provide monthly financial analysis and presentation preparation for management meetings.
- Oversee financial analysis to support operational decisions to include; analyzing results, monitoring variances, forecasting expenditures and identifying trends.
- Provide fundamental business profitability analysis to management encompassing cost analysis, project analysis and analysis of the financial impacts of various business strategies.
- Provide leadership with the Station departments and fixed asset accounting on issues regarding capitalization of work.
- Be a strong change agent for process improvement, involving technology improvement.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Associate Financial Analyst: A minimum of 0- 3+ years of financial or related experience is required.
Specific knowledge, skills, abilities and experience include:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP
- Knowledge financial management and analysis, accounting standards and practices
- Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Requires excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, teamwork, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Aptitude for continuous learning
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (or will obtain a Bachelor's degree by June 2024) or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
