Description
We are currently seeking a program and research intern who is a highly energetic, tactful, and engaging self-starter. The intern will work closely with the Network 20/20 team to undertake various projects related to our Virtual Briefing Series, Entrepreneurial Diplomacy Program, and CRM system.
While the intern will focus on programs and the above-mentioned projects, the internship is designed so they will also gain hands-on experience and training in many aspects of Network 20/20’s program and learn about the operations of a small nonprofit organization.
This internship will commence on September 29th and end on December 19th. It requires a commitment of three days a week (which can be arranged between you and Network 20/20 prior to your first day). The internship is hybrid and comes with a stipend of $200/week.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Working with the Associate Program Director to assist in preparations for the upcoming season. This includes conducting research on potential topics and speakers for upcoming foreign policy-related events, drafting event notices, drafting letters of invitation, updating program data in our CRM system, supporting staff with logistics prior to events
- Researching and summarizing key reading materials related to potential topics for upcoming programs
- Monitoring various team email accounts and responding to inquiries
- Supporting Network 20/20’s transition from its current CRM system to Salesforce
- Recording and organizing information relating to Network 20/20’s events in Network 20/20’s CRM system
- Various administrative tasks related to communications and Network 20/20, as needed
- Attending Network 20/20 online/in-person discussions
Requirements
- Passion for and understanding of international affairs
- Previous internship or related experience conducting research and presenting findings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience working across cultures
- Good understand of Excel to clean and analyze data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as closely with a team
- Excellent attention to detail, good organizational abilities, and general office skills
- Experience working with Salesforce and WordPress is a plus
- U.S. work permit is required
